Social Studies Presentation

I think everybody did a great job. Some were misspelled.Some of them had good information. Some had to much information and some didn't even have all of the information it needed. I've got to say I was kind of scared when I went to the front of the classroom. I should have changed the color of the font because I couldn't see the words until Mrs.corn turned the lights off. I put way to many information in my presentation. At first I had to many sentences and to many words. Then my mom helped me and told me were to put a bullet list. That helped me a lot. When I was presenting my presentation I kept having to look at the smart board (presentation). I was kind of embarrassed when I was presenting. I was kind of nervous and happy when we started. I helped a lot of people do animations. After all it was very fun. And this is how I think about my presentation and everybody else's presentations.

Hi ms.Rojas and ms.Corn I want to tell you what we did for our social studies explorer project.What the class did is we had to make star charts for all the explorers and then we had to put in the information in the charts and then you have to pick your explorer that you want to present and you present it on.

Our presentation

  I really like doing the presentations it was a lot scary. When I got called I was frozen. But then when I went up there I felt really confident in my self. After I was finish everybody caped for me.

  It was hard looking for info for my person (De Soto). But I still Accomplish my work and did a great presentation and I hope everybody else did to.

Social Studies Presentations

I think the classmates did good with their presentations.Our presentations were about the explorers.I graded myself of how good i did.I learned about the explorers and their journeys.I hope we learn about something else in social studies.The explorers were very very brave while they were exploring.The classmates did very good with there explorers.

Did You Know?

Today I was so excited because it was the day to present my explorer!Last night I could not get a wink of sleep!My explorer was Christopher Columbus.The project was the coolest project I have ever had.Do you know that Christopher Columbus was not as good as we all thought..........bet you DIDN'T!Just research him and you can find out some bad things and good things about him!

10/30/13: Our Presentation Date

Today we did our presentations. I was so nervous. I think I did my personal best. I could have been more exciting, but overall I think I did good. My explorer that I did was Christopher Columbus! I even talked about the three ships he sailed in. Everyone did a explorer. The only explorer we didn't do was Leif Ericson. There was Christopher Columbus, John Cabot, De Soto, Hudson, La Salle, Magellan, but no Leif Ericson.I'll just give a few facts about him, He was born in and sailed for Iceland. He went to Canada because he thought it was Asia, For gold- things to trade, and for Glory- for his vikings. He passed down historing sagas and his vikings were known as a warrior culture.

hey Mrs.Rojas and Mrs.Corn i want to give a shout out to you guys because i have been so happy that i have you because i feel very smart and i learn something new each day. i feel that i am safe with you and that i am getting smarter by the second! 

Social Studies

In social studies I made a slide about Hernando De Soto. I am so glad I finally got to do a slide in school. Isn't  that cool. I usually do it at home but now I do it at school to.I put animations in my slide to. Hernando De Soto is a great and smart explorer.He was looking for gold, glory, and god. I hope I do another slide on somebody else. I changed the background, and font. I saw my favorite font on the chrome book. There were four parts. I had awesome pictures. I also did a explore chart. 

Math

In math I have been learning about  place value,mental math,and other things.And I have had been  confused with the things I learn.But the things I have been learning about place value,place value is the value of the number in that place.Math is my favorite subject and I am good at it but my grades are not showing it but  I am going to try  and show you so you can know.Thank you for trying to push me hard so I can show that I am really smart.So thank you for everything.

In science we are in a new unit it is called tracking weather.Today in Ms.Rojas room we had to write 3 Qualitative 3 Quantative and for both meaning of the world.I enjoy every thing we did to did today in class

The Water Cycle

The water cycle has 3 very important parts which is evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.  There are many other parts like run off, transpiration, freezing, and melting, but those are the 3 most important.  Water Cycle is important to me, because it tells how the water we use today has been used thousands and thousands of years ago, and will be used thousands and thousands of years later.  By the way the water does not pick up any dirt or dust, it is left on the ground.  All the water that is reused is clean and that is about the water cycle.

Clouds and Explorers

    In the 2nd block (Mrs.Rojas) we learned about clouds in science. We learned that there are 3 types of clouds. Cumulus, Cirrus, and Stratus. We went outside today and examined the types of clouds that are outside today. Today there are cumulus clouds. We know this because the clouds outside are puffy white clouds in the shape of a dome with a flat bottom. Stratus clouds are clouds that are more darker they tend to blanket and spread across the sky. Cirrus clouds are thin and wispy like feathers.
    In the 1st block (Mrs.Corn) we learned about explorers. We read a book called encounter. The explorers we learned about were Leif Erikson, Christopher Columbus, De Soto, Magellan, La Salle, Henry Hudson, and John Cabot. We are starting to make presentations on a explorer that we chose. I chose Christopher Columbus and now I have to practice what Im going to say. Argh! So much to say about him.

In social studies we are learning about exsplorer and we made 8 star charts about it .the best thing i learned this week is about math.

Math

I worked on Drag and drop math on subtraction, multiplication, and division. I also worked on adding decimals. I got all of the answers right on the problems, first I didn't know how to do decimals or division. It was so fun to do all this work and I am glad I got all this work done.

Explorers

Today we have learned about the famous explorers and Mrs. Corn has been teaching about multimedia. We have learned about the famous Christopher Columbus and Leif Erickson. We are working on an explorers research project with star charts.

Weather Booklets

We had to create a booklet with 10 facts on the inside. Everyone read a different book and created a book report of the book they read.
