I am blogging about SEVERE WEATHER! Severe has three main forms TORNADOES, HURRICANES, or SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS! We are making our brochures and presentation slides in class to help us learn more about SEVERE WEATHER!

Evaporation

Evaporation is when the water floats up into the sun.You cant see it when it floats up into the sun.After the sun evaporates all of the water the clouds start to condense. Then it starts to rain witch is called precipatation. After that it starts to do something called runoff.And then something else happens and its called collection.Collection is when water on the ground collects.

Fact family

In class we have been learning about fact families. A fact family can be with multiplication and adding, division and subtraction. There are 4 equations in a fact family. I'm about to give you an example of a fact family. Example: 9x3=27 3x9=27 27/9=3 and 27/3=9. And that is a fact family!

How To Do Grids and expressions

I am going to teach everybody how to do grids and expressions. First step is to make or draw a grid. How do you do that? Well it depends. Maybe it could be a 6x8 grid or maybe a 5x9 it doesn't really madder. Color in two parts of the grid. Next is the expression. First you have to break apart the to parts into multipication problem like 4x5= (4x3)+(4x2) and this is how you check this 4(5)=20. This is how you do grids and expressions.

 

Distributive Property

Distributive Property is when you  break a whole object or group apart and hand it out. We used distributive property in arrays or grids. We have also been doing division. Division is repeated subtraction like Multiplication is repeated addition.

Veterans Day!

Veterans day is fun.Veterans day is when you celebrate the navy,military,or the air force.They fought our freedom for us.They helped us with many things.On veterans day we say the pledge.Some pepole have died in the war.

                                             On Friday we had an early celebration of Veteran's Day.  I had a very big speech in both activities.  The exact words were In 1938 armistice day was made a legal federal holiday , and in 1954 the word ''armistice'' was replaced with ''veteran's'' as a way to formally include all veteran's of all American wars in the day of remembrance.                                                                                                                                            Veteran's day is a day not only to remember those who died in service to our country , but also to recognize those who continue to serve in our military today to fulfill this patriotic duty  to maintain the freedoms of our country.  I was very happy , but scared at the same time.  I was exited that I memorized it by heart.                                                                                                                                                                              There were other very important parts in the celebration , like when the Veteran's talked about why they entered the military.  There are very many reasons why I think this celebration was important.

Severe Weather

 There are a lot of dangerous severe weather. Some people even have bad injury's from severe weather. I feel sorry for the people that got injured really badly. I hope I never get injured from severe weather. I always want to be safe from severe weather. I am not kidding ethier. Even If my family doesn't have a basement my mom will still get me and my brother to a save place. 

Website

Zondle is a website we went to in tech lab. You get to learn what blogs are, photo tag, were is the best place to put your privet stuff on the internet, and stuff like that. I love that website. I am in 4 place with 923 zollars. I am going to have plenty more zollars than I have right now. If you get it right answer you may be able to play a game. I've got it wrong before, of course. Some games are very long, like seriously. A few times it took me a long time, but now I am fast at it. 

What we did we do this week

We have been working on explorers and clouds.There are 3 clouds. Cummulus,cirrus,and stratus. In social studies we learned about the explorers.I did John Cabot for my presentation.It was fun doing it.We had great presentations while we were in Ms.Corns class.

Math

In math you all know we are learning about the properties so far I know 3 properties commutative, zero property and identity property. These properties can help you in math for multiplication. I hope you all get those properties. I know I do.

Math/Reading Tests

Today we did our Math test. The hardest question (because I forgot to study this weekend) was #3. Number 3 on the first side that is. This question was hard because it was about commutative property.

Today we also have a reading test on "Dear Mrs. Larue". I have already taken the reading counts test! I passed! You guys do well on your reading test!

Social Studies Explorer's Routes Map

Today we have started on our Explorer's route map. It's where we use a specific color per explorer or thing. Lanyzha and I did the Columbian Exchange. The columbian exchange is the exchange of goods between the east and west hemispheres. We are getting farther and farther into the unit. By the way I forgot to add the columbian exchange started because of christopher columbus' voyage.
