Reconstruction

Day1: We had to vote aganist the Southerners because they wanted blacks to have no rights and we had to go aganist it. It wasn't fair how African-Americans got treated just because of their race.

Day2: Today Abraham Lincoln set the slaves free it was a sunny day when it happend some of my friends were mad and some were happy. People were so mad that they wanted to kill Abraham Lincoln and one day someone did when he was watching a play and somebody shot him everybody heard about it that day.

Day3: Something very wonderful happened Freedmens's Bureau was created to help freed blacks find land, vote, and help them find jobs. It gave freed slaves a chance to live life and never be talked about just because if their skin color.

Day4: Today we saw Scalawags and Carpet baggers Scalawags were people who were non-racist Southerners and Carpet baggers were non-racist Northerns who freed blacks. Most Scalawags and Carpet baggers were racist and some weren't like the ones we saw today they were actually pretty nice.

Day5: Andrew Johnson was a person who led Democrats so that freed blacks wouldn't be able to have any rights. He was actually a slave owner who felt that slaves were property that is why he didn't like slaves because he thought if Abraham Lincoln was setting slaves free then he wouldn't have any slaves left.
